On our way

June 28 - Tues. Did I say we were going East? Well - on second thought we decided to head for the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado instead. Cooler there. Still plan to go east but saving that trip for the fall (or whenever). No bridge across Oklahoma so we pulled into a favorite o'nite stop, Sayre City Park west of OK city. We've seen this city park, complete with swim pool, min golf, tennis courts, golf course & ballfields improve over the years to rival parks that charge MUCH more. Also, payment is on the honor system. Pick up an envelope and deposit the small fee in a box on your way out! I'm outside watching Corky washing bugs off the cap of the RV. When he is done I will reward him with some of Joie's dessert treats! Yum. Prayers for our loved ones at home. R
June 29 - Wed. 7p. Mild temp. Here we are in Tucumcari, NM. We planned to be further up the road today in Las Vegas (NM that is), in the mountains. Well - as we pulled into a Flying J to get diesel a screeching sound came from the truck. Fortunately a repair shop was next door and an RV park was across the street. The Dodge has been through a lot of hard pulls over the years. Corky thinks its the clutch. We'll find out the damages in the a.m. R

We're back

We're ba a a ck! Had a great time in Texas; great visits with friends and family. Even had Holly & Hannah go to Galveston with us for an evening at the beach. Really enjoyed "catch up" time with James, Sam & the kids.
Named our GPS Maxine and were getting along with her quite well by the time we got to Little Rock.
Today it's "catch up" time with the washing machine. Tomorrow we head to Fayetteville. Go "Team Jessie"!

Corky & I plan to travel east in our RV this summer. First we are taking a whirlwind driving tour in Louisiana and Texas for a week. We are going to see the Nesbitts in Keechi, Louisiana, for an overnite then on to Bastrop, TX, to see Samanthas Dad & family there for a nite, THEN, on to New Braunfels, TX, to attend Tersa Burr's wedding. Be back in AR June 22 in time to go up to Fayetteville on the 24th to see Jessie Moix play basketball at the All-Star game! More later!
